The Korsteel JP range of bits have been designed to reduce the nutcracker action commonly associated with single joint bits. The mouthpieces are curved, which gives the tongue more room and allows the bit to lie more sympathetically in the mouth. Sweet Iron metal encourages the horse to accept the bit and the contact by increasing salivation. The metal oxidises in the mouth which produces the sweet taste. The single joint of this bit creates pressure on the tongue, the roof and the bars of the mouth. The full cheeks are perfect for horses who have difficulty in responding to the reins turning aids.
