Looked for ages to find a black sink strainer and a lot of reviews of metal ones say that they chip and flake so decided to go with this plastic one. It looks great you can’t tell it’s plastic when looking at it and the plastic seems durable and not cheap. The seal is great and the basket catches big bits of waste however small bits get trapped between the edge of the basket and the plug hole as it doesn’t quite fit so you have to take it out a rinse around the edges to get rid of the small bits that get stuck
