The PMS1003(G1) is a digital general-purpose particulate matter concentration sensor that can obtain and quantity of suspended particulate matter in a unit volume of air and output it in digital form. This sensor can be embedded in various instruments or environmental improvement devices related to the concentration of suspended particulate matter in the air, providing them with timely and accurate concentration data. This sensor uses the principle of laser scattering. A laser beam is shone onto suspended particulate matter in the air, causing scattering. The scattered light is collected at a specific angle, obtaining a curve showing the change in scattered light intensity over time. Then, the microprocessor uses an algorithm based on Mie to determine the equivalent particle size and the number of particles of different sizes per unit volume
