Levofree 6 mg/ml is a drug in the form of a syrup intended for the symptomatic treatment of dry cough in adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age.
Levofree – a medicine for dry coughThe active substance of the drug for dry cough is levodropropizine (1 ml of Levofree contains 6 mg of levodropropizine). It acts peripherally on the tracheobronchial tree. It inhibits bronchoconstriction caused by histamine, serotonin and bradykinin.
If after 7 days of using the medicine there is no improvement or your condition worsens, you should consult a doctor.
The syrup package comes with a 25 ml measuring cup for measuring the appropriate amount of oral solution.
Levofree 6 mg/ml is used in adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age for symptomatic treatment of:
- dry cough (non-productive cough).
1 ml of solution contains:
- active substance: levodropropizyn 6 mg,
- excipients: sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, hypromellose 2910, sucralose, potassium sorbate, raspberry flavour (containing flavouring ingredients, corn maltodextrin and gum arabic (E414)), purified water.
Antitussive.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years: the recommended dose is a single dose of 10 ml Levofree (equivalent to 60 mg levodropropizine) up to three times daily. There should be an interval of 6 hours between doses.
- Children aged 2 to 12 years: the recommended total daily dose is 0.5 ml of oral solution per kg of body weight (equivalent to 3 mg of levodropropizine/kg of body weight). The daily dose is divided into 3 single doses with an interval of at least 6 hours between doses.
- Body weight up to 12 kg : single dose: 2 ml; total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 6 ml.
- Body weight up to 12.5 kg up to 18 kg : single dose: 3 ml; total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 9 ml.
- Body weight up to 18.5 kg up to 24 kg : single dose: 4 ml; total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 12 ml.
- Body weight up to 24.5 kg up to 30 kg : single dose: 5 ml, total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 15 ml.
- Body weight up to 30.5 kg up to 36 kg : single dose: 6 ml, total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 18 ml.
- Body weight up to 36.5 kg up to 42 kg : single dose: 7 ml, total daily dose in 24 hours: up to 21 ml.

Levofree – lek na kaszel suchySubstancją aktywną leku na suchy kaszel jest lewodropropizyna (1 ml leku Levofree zawiera 6 mg lewodropropizyny). Działa ona obwodowo na drzewo tchawiczno-oskrzelowe. Hamuje skurcz oskrzeli wywołany przez histaminę, serotoninę oraz bradykininę.
Jeżeli po 7 dniach stosowania leku nie nastąpiła poprawa lub doszło do pogorszenia samopoczucia, należy zwrócić się do lekarza.
Do opakowania syropu dołączona jest miarka o pojemności 25 ml do odmierzania odpowiedniej ilości roztworu doustnego.
Lek Levofree 6 mg/ml stosuje się u dorosłych, młodzieży i dzieci powyżej 2 lat w objawowym leczeniu:
- suchego kaszlu (kaszlu nieproduktywnego).
1 ml roztworu zawiera:
- substancję czynną: lewodropropizyn 6 mg,
- substancje pomocnicze: sodu cytrynian, kwas cytrynowy jednowodny, hypromeloza 2910, sukraloza, potasu sorbinian, aromat malinowy (zawierający składniki aromatyzujące, maltodekstrynę kukurydzianą i gumę arabską (E414)), woda oczyszczona.
Przeciwkaszlowe.
Ten lek należy zawsze przyjmować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w tej ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.
- Dorośli i młodzież powyżej 12 lat: zalecana dawka to pojedyncza dawka 10 ml leku Levofree (co odpowiada 60 mg lewodropropizyny) do trzech razy na dobę. Należy zachować odstęp 6 godzin pomiędzy dawkami.
