The USB Receiver allows you to connect up to 6 different Logitech Unifying products such as mice, keyboards, track-pads etc. and has it's own Windows software (downloadable) which manages the pairing of devices to the receiver etc.
The USB Unifying Receiver is perfect for anyone who has lost / damaged their original one or wants a spare one to keep permanently in place on another computer, without having to keep un-plugging and moving it.
Please note, not all Logitech peripherals can use a Unifying receiver, check they have the orange square with black star logo printed upon them, otherwise this Unifying receiver will not work with them and you will probably have to buy a complete new keyboard / mouse etc. If you do have to buy a new one, check it supports the Unifying receiver and then you'll always be able to buy spare USB receivers to support it in the future.
