MexGrocer Achiote is a Yucatan-style sauce from ground annatto seeds, spices and tomatoes. Delicious achiote. The condiment Annatto or Achiote is precisely made with annatto seeds of excellent quality, used to give colour, and of course as an excellent seasoning, grown in the humid tropical weather of the Yucatan Peninsula in the southeast of Mexico. It is traditionally used as seasoning in the famous Yucatecan and Central American dishes, mainly those influenced by the mayan culture. It is ideal to marinate or to prepare grilled or roasted beef, chicken and the most famous Cochinita Pibil. El Yucateco Annatto or Achiote has two displays of these excellent products: the traditional paste and the newness liquid. No colouring added. It's really easy to prepare. You can dilute 1 oz. of paste with half of cup of vinegar or 50 ml of liquid annatto. Ready to use. You can marinate and seasoning 1kg of beef, pork, chicken or fish. My own mother adores this and makes a wonderfully tasting chicken wings to roast in the oven mouth watering.

Water, Annatto Seed 40.3%, corn Flour, Salt, Garlic, Spices, Acetic Acid and Sodium Benzoate 0.1%, as a preservative. No colouring added to the condiment.
