Mindful Lil Minds meditation buddy is designed to teach children the importance of creating an everyday meditation practice and learning how to become more present. The Koalas belly expands and retracts while talking you through a BREATHING MEDITATION. 1. Press her right paw to begin a 5-minute guided meditation. 5 minutes is designed to be just enough time for the child to calm down but not too long that the child will become bored 2. The Koalas chest/belly expands and retracts in time with the guided meditation. 3. The plush has a eucalyptus scented belly to assist in visualising the meditation and can also be used as an aromatherapy to help relax. 4. Plush has floppy limbs and a weighted bead bottom making her cuddlier. Studies have shown using weighted comforters such as Blankets and toys can help lower anxiety in children - especially those on the Autism spectrum MEDITATION PLUSH CAN BE USED IN 4 DIFFERENT WAYS: 1. Sitting Individually. Sit down by yourself in a quiet spot with the plush sitting next to or in front of you. Press his right paw and the meditation will begin. Sit with your eyes closed and listen 2. Sitting in a group/classroom The cuddly koala is great for classrooms or group meditations. Sit or lay on your back with the plush facing the group. Press his right paw and the meditation will begin. Close your eyes, listen and relax. 3. Laying down with plush on chest lay down on your back with the plush on your chest. Press his paw to begin guided meditation. Place your hand on the koalas belly to feel his belly move up and down, move your belly up and down along with the plush 4. Sit down and hold the plush up to your face. Press his paw to begin the guided meditation and inhale the calming smell of eucalyptus as you meditate. Requires 2xAA batteries (Included).
