Lactobacillus Acidophilus is one of the primary "friendly" bacterias found in the human gut. Lactobacillus acdiophilus is a homofermative microaerophilic bacteria, this means it ferments to a singular product at low partial pressures of oxygen. This particular bacteria converts sugars, via fermentation, in the gut and mouth to lactic acid. This is widely considered as “good” and “beneficial” bacteria. Amongst many of its claims the most prominent of the Acidophillius Tablets is its ability to help with the re-population of the body's natural flora of “friendly and good” bacteria. Modern day lifestyle, stress and some drugs, especially antibiotics, can deplete our friendly bacteria.
