Obsession is a competitive strategy game set in Victorian-era England, where players manage declining aristocratic estates and compete to restore their family's reputation. Through a combination of worker placement, hand management, tile placement, and resource management, players arrange elegant activities, recruit capable staff, and host increasingly prestigious events for influential guests.

Each turn presents meaningful choices about which estate improvements to build, which guests to invite, and how to balance money, reputation, and available workers. The evolving estate tableau creates long-term strategies while the shared guest and market systems encourage competition for valuable opportunities. Obsession is best suited to experienced players who enjoy detailed planning, thematic economic gameplay, and highly replayable strategic development.
