coloured
fine
powder
constituting
of
shiitake
mushroom,
also
known
as
Lentinus
Edodes.
The
fruiting
bodies
of
the
mushrooms
are
harvested,
dried,
granulated
and
then
ground
into
a
fine
powder.
Native
to
East
Asia,
the
shiitake
mushroom
is
amongst
the
most
commonly
cultivated
fungi
in
the
world
and
in
Japanese,
shii
refers
to
the
type
of
tree
this
mushroom
was
first
known
to
grow
around.
Consumed
medicinally
in
Asia
for
centuries,
shiitake
are
rich
in
polysaccharides
(our
variety
is
3%)
and
other
verified
bio-active
substances
likely
responsible
for
a
range
of
health
benefits.
This
mushroom
is
now
revered
for
both
its
culinary
and
reputed
medicinal
qualities.
