The PICkit 3 offers a powerful yet affordable solution for debugging and programming PIC and dsPIC Flash microcontrollers. It features a USB full-speed interface (12 Mbits/s) to the host PC and is compatible with the free MPLAB Integrated Development Environment. A built-in over-voltage and short circuit monitor ensures safe operation. The device supports a low voltage range from 2.0V to 6.0V and includes diagnostic LEDs for power, busy, and error. It allows for real-time execution, firmware upgrades, and full read/write/erase operations on program and data memory. The Programmer-to-Go feature enables programming of up to 512K byte flash. The product includes the PICkit 3 unit, a USB cable, and a 6-pin double-headed needle. This is the programmer module only (Microchip part PG164130).
