PoE Surge Protector with Lightning Protection, Full Gigabit Ethernet Performance for Outdoor Use

PoE Surge Protector with Lightning Protection, Full Gigabit Ethernet Performance for Outdoor Use Description

Protect critical network devices from transient voltage and lightningrelated surges while maintaining full gigabit performance. This Gigabit PoE Protector is a compact, speed arrester that intercepts harmful surges on Ethernet and Power over Ethernet lines so your cameras, wireless access points, switches, and VoIP devices stay online and undamaged. Key benefits Prevents equipment damage and downtime by diverting surge energy away from connected devices. Maintains full gigabit throughput for bandwidth applications with minimal impact on network performance. Simple inline protection that installs between your network switch and powered device without rewiring. What it does Surge protection for PoE data and power pairs to reduce the risk of damage from transient voltage events. speed response to transient spikes to protect sensitive electronics. Passthrough network connection that keeps signal integrity for gigabit Ethernet. Why customers need it Outdoor and long cable runs increase exposure to surges and ground potential differences. This protector reduces that risk. A costeffective layer of defense for expensive network endpoints, lowering the chance of or replacement. Keeps critical surveillance, wireless, and communication systems operational during electrical disturbances. Key features and attributes Function: Inline surge arrester for PoE lines, protecting both data and power conductors. Compatibility: Works with gigabit Ethernet and common PoE devices such as IP cameras, access points, network switches, and VoIP phones. Performance: Designed for speed networks with negligible effect on throughput and latency. Size and installation: Compact inline unit that installs easily between standard Ethernet cable connections; suitable for rack, wall, or enclosure placement where space is limited. Material and build: Rugged housing to withstand field installation and provide longterm reliability. Practical use scenarios Rooftop IP camera installation: Place the protector between the outdoor camera and the indoor switch to reduce the risk of lightning and surge damage on long outdoor cable runs. Wireless access point on a pole or building facade: Install the unit close to the powered device to protect the AP and the upstream switch from transient events caused by nearby storms or electrical activity. Perimeter or remote site network edge: Use the protector on links that cross different building grounds or run near power lines to guard critical access control and monitoring equipment. Installation tips Install inline on the Ethernet cable feeding the powered device, as close to the protected device as practical for protection. Use standard Ethernet connectors and quality cabling for reliable signal transmission and grounding where required. Summary A practical, compact solution for protecting PoEpowered devices on gigabit networks. It delivers fast surge suppression with minimal impact on network performance and simple inline installation, making it suitable for surveillance, wireless infrastructure, and other PoE deployments where reliability matters.
