KTM JTAG power box suitable for Hitachi KTM FLASH j2534 automotive ECU programmer

Description:

It is compatible with the following loading programs in automatic mode:

BOOT-OEM12, 12 needle OBD-II;

L-LINE， 15 pin OBD-II.

This tool has built-in current limiting resistors on the following signal lines:

Reset -510 Ω;

Boots -510 Ω;

CNF1-220 Ω.

Conclusion:
All of the above programming tools can be used for ECU read and write, but there are differences in ECU coverage and read/write methods.

There are no restrictions on the car model and year when using KTM bench to read/write data.

However, if you have chips and a gearbox to read and write to, you should have a KTM flash memory. The downside is that it needs to be disassembled. The KTM bench does not cover chips and gearboxes, and the KTM OBD cannot be well used for reading/writing in geraboux.

USB interface:

Specially designed for connecting computers. To connect when the built-in USB-UUART converter is enabled; Used for PowerBox software updates; Simultaneously reprogram Renesas CPU;

direct:

Designed to supply power to built-in circuits and connected ECUs. It is recommended to only use high-quality equipment with a 12V output voltage. When reading passwords, it is necessary to note that the high-voltage converter in the ECU consumes a considerable amount of current during startup when unable to be inside the vehicle, which can trigger protection mechanisms and even cause damage to the power unit;

J2534 （OBD-II-F）：

Specially designed to connect interfaces with the same name to OBD-II;

 

DB-15's:

Designed to connect to the main ECU connector. Suggest using 14P600KT02, 14P600KT03 or similar cables;

IDC-26 (English)

Designed for direct connection to ECU boards or connection to special heads through adapters. Suggest using 14P600KT06 cable or similar cable for Tricore GPT.

It is recommended to use the Flash Development Toolkit software to flash the Renesas CPU.

Control:

This tool has 3 switches for running in different modes.

 

Energy:

Power control. This tool has three modes for powering the ECU: OFF allows all power and control signals to be removed from the IDC-26 and DB-15 connectors; MANUAL supplies power to VECU, VKEY terminals, and control outputs based on the selected strategy; AUTO， Automatic control, in this mode, power is controlled by a loading program with L-Line signal (15 pin OBD-II).

Boots:

Simultaneously control BOOT, RESET, and CNF1 signals (3.3V): OFF, allowing all control signals to be removed from the DB-15 connector; MANUAL pulls RESET and BOOT to signal negative, and CNF1 to+3.3V; AUTO, automatic control. In this mode, BOOT, RESET, and CNF1 signals are simultaneously controlled by the loading program (12 pin OBD-II, OEM12).

GPT's:

Dor is suitable for Renesas and Tricore with GPT CPU. When using SH705x CPU, 5V is required, and 3.3V is used in other situations.

Lamp:

The LED near the 5V/3.3V switch indicates a 5V or 3.3V voltage supply.

VECU and VKEY LEDs indicate the voltage supply of VECU and VKEY.

The 12V LED indicates the power supply voltage.

The BOOT LED indicates the voltage on the CNF1 output (the LED is used for both input and output).
