SIMETICON MAX is intended for use to relieve the feeling of fullness, bloating, belching, and symptoms associated with excessive accumulation of gas and air in the digestive tract, which cause tension and pressure in the intestines.

Protego SIMETICON MAX is intended for use as an aid in preparing patients for abdominal diagnostic examinations (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography and colonoscopy), in order to remove gases and air from the gastrointestinal tract, which improves the quality of the obtained images.

Directions for use:
Protego SIMETICON MAX capsules should be taken orally, before or after a meal, with a sufficient amount of fluid (e.g., 1 glass of water). Drinking carbonated beverages is not recommended while using the preparation.

Symptoms related to tension and pressure in the intestines:

Adults: as needed, 1 capsule, 2–4 times daily. Maximum 4 capsules daily (960 mg simethicone).
Pregnant women: Dosage and directions for use as directed by a physician or pharmacist.
No dosage adjustment is required for people with diabetes.
Children 12 to 18 years of age: as needed, 1 capsule daily.

Preparation for diagnostic tests:

Adults: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning on an empty stomach on the day of the diagnostic test.
Pregnant women: Dosage and use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

No dosage adjustment is required for people with diabetes.

Children from 12 to 18 years of age: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the diagnostic examination and 1 capsule in the morning, on an empty stomach, on the day of the diagnostic examination.
