Resmed Leak Valve for Stellar Ventilator Description

ResMed Leak Valve for ROW Setup with the Stellar ventilatorThe ResMed Leak Valve can be used with the Stellar ventilator for invasive application.

The ResMed Leak Valve, has been recommended as part of the low dispersion circuit accessories, as well as in invasive ventilation.

ResMed's Leak Valve is a single patient use leak port (1 to 7 days) that incorporates the anti-asphyxia valve (AAV), allowing continuous airflow through the vent holes. In the event of unexpected ventilator failure, the anti-asphyxia valve opens to the air preventing re-breathing of exhaled carbon dioxide.

It is recommended to use the ResMed Leak Valve in place of the ResMed Leak Port (24976), leak valve (249880) replaces the leak port.

Note for Clinicians: When using the Leak Valve, check the anti-asphyxia valve (membrane) within the Leak. Valve remains closed during ventilation. If you observe the membrane opening, increase EPAP
