I bought this for my mum who suffers from dementia & who's hands are contracting , at times her nails were digging into palms . This is a soft , gentle way of keeping her hands open , the Velcro straps keep the protector in place without damaging my mums fragile skin , this item costs a lit more on other sites & i was initially wary , sometimes cheaper means poor quality but the protector is great value without skimping on quality , highly recommend .
