Overview Rust-Oleum Chalky Finish Floor Paint adds a classic low sheen chalk finish to wood and concrete flooring. A timeless hard wearing, water based paint which has been designed to resist knocks and scratches and can be applied directly over old paint and varnish. Can be applied to wooden floorboards or concrete flooring. Not recommended for outdoor use or areas subject to regular water contact, e.g. bathrooms or areas subject to heavy water such as garage floors. Not recommended for tiles or laminate flooring. We are not DIY ers.....we are rubbish at it, and we hate doing it, but the stairs looked awful......waited a year before finally using this paint, and then forced my husband to do it. Got the job done in a couple of hours and it looks great......dried really quickly to give a good covering on 15 steps, (with a little left over for Travis the cat to do a bit of her own decorating.....). With a house of 6 cats I think this served us well and the little white paw prints came of easily from the wooden hall floor....although I am so pleased with the way it looks, I'm going to take the cats advice and paint the hall floor as well......and I really do hate D.I.Y!
