Zinc Rich Primer For Cathodic Protection 1 KG
- Provides cathodic protection to metal
- Contains pure zinc as pigment
- Use as a primer / single coat in light industrial exposures, corrosive environments and high humidity areas
- Can be recoated with non-saponifiable coatings
- Ideal for brush application on small areas or for touch-up

Fast drying, zinc rich primer based on an epoxy ester resin. Contains pure zinc as pigment and provides cathodic protection to metal.
- 1085 Cold Galvanizing should be used on new, bare steel, blasted steel or galvanized steel surfaces
- 1085 is primarily intended for brush application on small areas or for touch-up
- Can be recoated with non-saponifiable coatings
- 1085 should be used as a primer or as a single coat in light industrial exposures, corrosive environments and high humidity areas
Zinc content: 90% by weight in the dry film
Gloss Level: Matt
VOC Level: 630 g/l
Heat Resistance: 450°C (dry heat)
Recommended Wet Film Thickness: 100 µm
Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 35 µm
Theoretical Consumption: 1,4 m² per spray can at 35 µm dry
Practical Consumption: Practical coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application.
Dry to Touch: 10 minutes
Dry to Handle: 30 minutes
Dry to Recoat: Within 1 hour or after 48 hours
Fully Cured: 7 days

Remove dirt, grease, oil, loose rust and all other surface contaminants by appropriate means. The surface must be clean and dry during application.
For good results the relative humidity shall be below 85% and the temperature of the can and substrate above 0°C.
