Scenecraft Oast House (Pre-Built) Description
Announced as part of our Spring 2021 British Railway Announcements, we are delighted to bring you this addition to our range with this OO scale Oast House. An essential part of the brewing industry, the Oast house or hop kilns as they are called in some parts of the country, are used to dry out freshly picked hops before they are sent to make the nations stalwart of beverages, beer! This striking brick-built building consists of a cylindrical kiln topped with a white cowl adorned with a weathervane. Attached to the stowage area of the building is a hoist, positioned above the pair of doors used for manoeuvring the hops in and out of the building. The model features embossed brickwork which has been hand painted to give the model a unique and realistic look, along with glazed windows and embossed wooden doors it is sure to make a standout item on any rural OO scale diorama or layout!
