Shortwave Tunable Amplifier Frequency 3?C30 MHz Gain Adjustable 0?C30 dB Description
Features:
Shortwave tunable amplifier with transmit and bypass functions
This unit is a receiver amplifier featuring a shortwave tunable bandpass filter with a center frequency range of 3?C30 MHz and adjustable gain from 0 to 30 dB.
Signals from the ANT port are filtered through the built-in shortwave tunable narrowband filter, amplified by a low-noise amplifier, and then transmitted to the RX/TX port.
The bandwidth of the tunable narrowband filter is approximately 1 MHz. By adjusting the filter knob to the target frequency, signals at that frequency pass through while signals at other frequencies on either side are attenuated. The filtered signal is then amplified by the low-noise amplifier. The amplifier??s gain is adjustable; set it to an appropriate level based on the received signal strength and the device??s dynamic range to prevent reception overload.
The built-in relay allows transmission whether the unit is powered off or connected to a PTT signal line. It has a maximum voltage rating of 440 V AC and 120 V DC, and a maximum current rating of 8 A. Please operate the unit within these voltage and current limits.
All rear connectors are BNC female sockets. Connect the terminals labeled ??RX/TX?? to a radio, transceiver, or receiver, and connect the terminal labeled ??ANT?? to the antenna.
If using a transceiver, turn off the amplifier before transmitting, or connect the PTT signal line to the amplifier to control the internal relay switch.
The PTT interface is a 3.5mm mono audio jack.
Prepare a 12V or 13.8V linear regulated DC power supply. The power connector should be 5.5??2.1 mm (positive inside, negative outside) and plugged into the black DC jack on the back of the amplifier. Verify that the voltage is normal and that the polarity of the connector is correct.
Press the black button on the right side of the front panel to power on the unit; a green light will illuminate. Connect the PTT; when transmitting, a red light will illuminate.
The TUNE knob controls the overall center frequency of the filter, allowing the filter to be adjusted from 3 MHz to 30 MHz.
FINE TUNE is for fine-tuning, used to make precise adjustments to specific frequencies.
GAIN controls the amplifier??s gain.
