Dachshunds are sweet little dogs that are well known for their short legs, long bodies and big hearts. They are sweet little love bugs who love nothing more than snuggling up with their humans. The name Dachshund comes from the combination of two German words “dachs” meaning badger and “hund” meaning dog and they were originally used to hunt badgers. Their long, narrow bodies enabled them to get into badger sets with ease and they're hardy build can take down one of the animals with relative ease. They may be cute but they will keep you on your toes - quite apt for a time-keeping art piece!
