Flip kill switch off; if resistance changes, switch is good. Step-2. Remove old spark plug Remove spark plug from cylinder. Then reattach it to spark plug boot. Step-3. Check for Spark Ground spark plug electrode on the engine block. Pull the recoil starter, check for spark. Step-4. New Spark Plug Test Install a new spark plug, repeat Step-3.
