Indications:

smooth muscle spasms associated with biliary tract diseases: cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, inflammation of the ampulla of Vater;
smooth muscle spasms of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, ureterolithiasis, pyelitis, cystitis, painful urinary urgency.
As an adjunctive treatment, it can be used safely and effectively:

Indications: for spasms of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, spasms of the gastric cardia and pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation and intestinal flatulence, pancreatitis;
for gynecological conditions: dysmenorrhea.
Properties:
The active substance of SPASTYNA MAX is drotaverine hydrochloride. This substance is used for spasms of smooth muscles of both nervous and muscular origin, most often manifested by abdominal pain. The antispasmodic effect of drotaverine does not depend on the type of innervation or the location of the smooth muscles (gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, circulatory system, and biliary tract). The drug is metabolized in the liver and excreted primarily in urine and, to a lesser extent, in feces.

Dosage:

The recommended dose is: Adults: the daily dose is 120-240 mg in 2-3 divided doses. The maximum daily dose is 240 mg of drotaverine (3 tablets).
Children: Clinical studies have not been conducted in children. If SPASTYNA MAX must be used in children over 12 years of age, the daily dose is 160 mg in 2-4 divided doses. The maximum daily dose of drotaverine in this age group is 160 mg.
