Planting & Care Guide (Potted Trees):

Our trees are delivered potted in 7.5-litre containers, meaning they can be planted year-round (avoiding frozen or waterlogged ground). As they are already growing in soil, there's minimal transplant shock, and they'll establish quickly in your garden.

• Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil

• Dig a hole twice the width of the pot and just as deep

• Remove the tree from the pot and gently tease out any circling roots

• Place in the hole so the graft union sits just above soil level

• Backfill with soil, firm in gently, and water thoroughly

• Stake if necessary, especially in windy areas

• Mulch around the base (but not against the trunk) to retain moisture

• Water regularly during the first growing season; prune lightly in winter to shape
