Imperial Japanese Navy carrier fighter Type 21 variant with 12m span and rounded wing tips. Kit has fine engraved panel lines well appointed cockpit twin-row Sakae 12 radial engine cowling with full length gun troughs and separate flap section detailed undercarriage and wheel wells arresting hook delicate aileron actuators and balances single-piece 3-blade propeller with separately molded spinner drop tank and choice of 2-piece (closed) or 3-piece (open) canopy. Decals and painting reference for (3) IJN aircraft that participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor prior to Japan's declaration of war: No 102 carrier Akagi lead ship of Carrier Division 1 pilot Lt Saburo Shindo; No 151 carrier Soryu lead ship of Carrier Division 2 pilot Lt Fusata Iida and No 137 carrier Zuikaku 2nd ship of Carrier Division 5 pilot Lt Masao Sato - includes stencil data instrument faces fuselage bands and propeller tip stripes.
