If your favourite quiz board games are growing stale (there's only so many times you can play Trivial Pursuit, right?) then it's time to add a touch of democracy! Introducing the Pointless Board Game, where the scores are decided by the general public! 

This board game is based on the hit BBC show of the same name. Your job when playing Pointless is not to find the correct answer, but the most obscure one. If you've never caught the show before, here's how it works: before publishing the Pointless Board Game, University Games gave each question card to 100 different people and asked them to provide an answer. 

Each question is phrased in such a way that there's usually an obvious answer that people immediately think of. Those answers score highly; correct answers that people can't remember score low. The team with the lowest score is one step closer to winning the coveted Pointless trophy!

What makes Pointless different from other quiz board games is the introduction of Game Theory. You've not just got to remember the correct answer but anticipate which answers other people will remember too. Will you play it safe with an obvious solution, or risk getting 100 points on an obscure answer that might be wrong? It's this mix of general knowledge and human psychology that makes Pointless so addictive! 

This box contains 270 question cards, with a fantastic mix of topics from films and television to classic literature, history to sport. No matter what your specialist subject might be, with such a huge number of cards it's bound to come up. Plus, with so many questions ( and a dizzying number of possible answers) there's just too many to memorise - it's one of those trivia board games that you can play for years!

This is the 2018 version of the game, featuring brand new questions and updated answers. University Games have also updated the scoreboard app. Once you've downloaded it onto your smartphone or tablet, you can watch the score counter tick down towards the pointless answer! Even if the original is somewhere in your stack of trivia board games, you can still find a whole lot of fun with this version!
