TOMATO Alicante

The tomato is a savoury, edible fruit, originally from South America but now grown all over the world.

Introduced in 1925 Alicante has been around for 100 years and is now considered a heritage variety.

A very reliable tomato producing heavy crops of medium sized fruit with a pleasant sweet flavour.

The fruits are very smooth and are excellent in salads but they can also be used in sauces and can be juiced, preserved or made into paste.

Tomato Alicante is early to mature so you can almost guarantee a crop even in less than perfect conditions

They can be the most rewarding of vegetables to cultivate and are easy to grow from seed.

Once described in an article in the Telegraph as “the humble superfood in your salad” the tomato is now the world's most popular fruit.

An open pollinated variety Tomato Alicante can be grown inside in a greenhouse or outdoors in a sunny, sheltered bed.

Often described as an improved Moneymaker type Alicante has stood the test of time.

Seeds Tomato Alicante will only be accepted for return after seller has been informed and given permission.  Refunds will be issued when items are received back in saleable condition within 14 days from original dispatch date. Buyer must pay all return charges except where an item has been dispatched in error.
