TPMS Reset Tool for Opel/GM EL50448 Description

Description: For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a "sensor learn procedure" must be performed after tire rotation, remote lockout receiver module, or tire pressure sensor replacement. This learn procedure can be performed using the EL-50448 special tool. Also applies to 2014 GM models Tire pressure sensors on 2012 and later models can only be read with certain designated diagnostic tools. Before the tire pressure monitoring system will function normally, the body control module will record the ID information for each tire pressure sensor position after replacing a tire or wheel speed sensor, use the following method to read the tire pressure sensor. For the specific method, please refer to the following: Step 1 - Enter the tilt mode and set the gear lever to \" When the learning is complete, the turn signal light will illuminate for 3 seconds and the horn will chirp twice. For some equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPM), after replacing the tire remote lock receiver module or replacing the tire pressure sensor, a \"sensor learning procedure\" must be performed. This learning procedure can be performed with the special tool 50448 Compatible Vehicle List: Charger and battery are not included in the package. Q: Which vehicles will the EL-50448 apply to Chevrolet Colorado A: As far as I know, this will apply to 2012 and 2013 GM cars and trucks. It may also work on other makes and models. Before purchasing this unit, I did several searches on the internet and found that this model was often used exclusively on 2012 and 2013 General Motors. You should be able to easily find Colorado specific information. I have also learned that GM vehicles from 2012 and earlier have a reset procedure that does not require a reset tool, so you may not need this unit at all. :-) Q: What GM vehicles will the EL-50448 TPMS work on? A: I don't know what vehicles it will work on, but I am sure it will work on GM pickups from 2007 and up. That is what I use mine for. Very easy to use. High quality product. Q: It is for a 2006 Ford Expedition XLT, thanks A: No, this is for GM only. EL-50448 Review: 1. For Trucks and Cars: Simple and inexpensive, but works great. Much better than going to a dealer or tire shop to reset the pressure sensor. I use it on my truck and my wife's and it only takes a few minutes to reset all four wheels. 2. Shows correct low battery display: I have never had my TP sensor programmed with the "bleed method" on my 2007 Tahoe. Before I had this tool I just remembered which tire was which when I spun them, but not anymore. Now I can reprogram them in seconds and the dash display correctly shows which tire is low. This tool should be included with the car. 3. Ease of Use: The use of this product is simple and straightforward. That said, spending this much just to spin your tires is hardly exciting, but considering how much a dealer would charge, it wouldn't take many service visits to pay for the unit. As far as functioning goes, it does exactly what it says it does with no drama. Put the vehicle in reset mode and press the button on the unit as instructed in the owner's manual. 4. I can't believe I need a special tool to spin my tires. As far as I understand, for 2010 (2011) and older vehicles, you can use any large magnet to reset your tire pressure sensor. 2011 (2012) and at least my 2013 Silverado you need one of these gadgets. This one works like a champ, the one I found referenced via GM's website. 5. GM Coverage: The deflation method is only validated on a 2011 Chevrolet Volt using the El-50448 TPMS learn tool and I was able to program 4 TPMS in less than a minute. The El-50448 can program TPMS in GM 2010-2013.
