A popular, fast-growing turnip grown both for its roots and its leaves.

As its name suggests it is purple on top and white below the ground.

Crisp and fine-grained Purple Top White Globe has sweet, very tasty, mild flavoured flesh.

Can be eaten fresh or cooked and served as a side dish at dinner.

The leaves are extremely nutritious and can be used as greens, they are said to have one of the best flavours of all greens.

Turnip Purple Top White Globe grows bigger that other turnips and stores exceptionally well.

Sow in beds or drills outdoors as soon as the ground is workable after winter. Germination takes 14-21 days approx. depending on weather conditions.

Harvest can begin 50-60 days after sowing or when the turnips are about the size of a tennis ball.
