On the whole good item. Strong fit for purpose. Seems to be pretty much the same product out there for twice the price. My only reservation is corners sharp with burrs otherwise good.

Ladder standoff doesn't fit a standard UK ladder. Of poor quality, when put together the aluminium bolts threaded. I would not feel safe using this when up a ladder. Getting a refund is proving difficult.

I am so pleased with this strong and lightweight ladder standoff. It takes all the worry out of painting windows at height..no more bending outward while painting and gripping the ladder doing a balancing act...now I can decorate in safety without looking like I'm auditioning for the circus! Lol

I have used the stand off a number it times already. It was simple to put together and clip on to the ladder.
It gives me a much better position and ladder angle to work from as well as significantly enhanced stability with the wider footprint of the stand off.

Any one who has leaned a ladder against a gutter will know the bouncy effect as you climb up the ladder, sometimes it slip slightly side ways which stops your heart beat for a second.

My gutter is at least 15 ft off the ground and I climbed at least 7 times to
clean the whole of the front gutter, during all that time it never slipped sideways, the bounce effect is still there but not as much. cleaning out the gutter is much easier when you are at the right distance from it.
(please note the ladder can only be positioned at certain angle to the wall,
any other angle is considered unsafe)

Now the technical bit. My gutter sticks out from the wall by 30cm, the ladder stand off just about manages to allow the ladder to go up and beyond the gutter, if your gutter sticks out more than 30cm from the wall this may not be for you.
You will not be able to get onto the roof with the stand off attached to the ladder as it occupies two of your rungs.

My down pipe is 9cm in diameter and sticks out from the wall by a further 2cm (total length from the wall is 11cm) which the V shape on the ladder stand off can just about accommodate.

The height of the rung on my ladder is about 3.5cm, the space between the rungs is 24.5cm, the hooks on the "ladder stand off" fits comfortably on it. The distance from top left hook to the top right hook is about 21cm.

Had a long extending ladder to clear my gutters for years. This made it so much easier and stable to access them. I should have bought one years ago.
Instructions were missing from box, but easy enough to assemble and use.

I've used these stand off brackets before and there a must have got anyone using ladders. My old one was just a straight bracket, but the one I purchased has a "V" shape that is ideal when working on corners so you can safely place your ladders without them slipping. The product is well made and will fit pretty much any ladder securely, and simply attached using it's claws and a spring retainer. Seriously this is a great product and I wouldn't use a ladder without one,!
