X1006 PCIe to SSD/HDD+M.2 2280 SSD Shield for 5 Description

Compatible with for 5B and supports expansion of other HATs of for ; Supports simultaneous connection of 2.5-inch hard disk and M.2 2280 SSD.
Compliant with Serial 3.0 specification, backward compatible with 2.0 and 1.0; Supports HAT+ STANDBY power state, automatically shuts down devices when Pi5 is powered off.
Supports communication rates of 5.0 Gbit/s, 3.0 Gbit/s and 1.5 Gbit/s; Compatible with 6G, 3G, 1.5G hard disks.
Support dual hard drives - can connect SATA2.5-inch hard drives and M.2 KEY-B 2280 solid-state drives at the same time, not compatible with M.2 NVMe SSDs, M.2 PCle AHCl SSDs or other M.2 non- devices, and does not support booting from HDD/SSD using existing firmware.
Based on PI5's PCle interface design, connected to PI5 via FFC cable, powered from for Raspberry Pi5 via pogo pins.

Notes:
X1006 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting from HDD/SSD using existing firmware.
Not compatible with M.2 NVMe SSDs, M.2 PCle AHCl SSDs, or other M.2 non- devices.
New hard drives do not have partitions and need to be partitioned and formatted when used for the first time before they can be accessed in Explorer.

X1006 is a PCIe to HDD/SSD expansion board designed for 5. It supports 2.5-inch hard disks and M.2 KEY-B 2280 solid-state drives, providing large-capacity storage and high-speed storage solutions for 5, giving full play to its storage capacity. The 3.0 interface speed can reach up to 5Gbps.
X1006 is installed at the bottom of the for 5 and not affect the use of GPIO. It is convenient to expand other HATs. In addition, X1006 and the hard disk are powered by the for 5 through the 4 pins on the board, simplifying the power supply without the need for extra power.
