XJX-135 MT6816 MT6816CT Magnetic Encoder Evaluation Kit 42-Stepper Motor PWM Control Module Description

The MT6816 is a third-generation magnetic angle encoder chip. It uses anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology and proprietary signal processing techniques to achieve absolute angle measurement from 0 to 360. The chip consists of a pair of AMR Wheatstone bridges and a signal processing ASIC.
As the magnetic field parallel to the chip surface rotates, the chip outputs a corresponding encoded angle signal with a signal latency of less than 2µs. The angle data calculated internally can also be read via the high-speed SPI interface.
Compared to traditional Hall effect sensors, AMR angle sensors operate in the saturation region, reducing magnetic field requirements and making installation easier.
The MT6816 is widely applicable to various consumer and industrial applications, including motor position feedback control and rotation control.

ABZ communication: JP1 is the ABZ communication port, with the default AB = 1024 and Z = 4. If MTP programming is not required during ABZ communication, short the HVPP pin to GND.
SPI communication: JP2 is the four-wire SPI communication port, which allows MTP programming of the chip.
PWM output: JP3 is the PWM output port, with the default PWM frequency being 971.
UVW communication: The W/Z, V/B, and U/A pins are multiplexed and cannot be used simultaneously.
