Yamaha Floppy Emulator SFRM72-FU-DL USB Description
The SFRM72-FU-DL USB floppy drive emulator is compatible with 720KB drives in Yamaha, Korg, and Roland electric organs. It uses a standard USB flash drive for storage, with a 33-pin interface and 5V DC power supply. The built-in 720KB flash memory uses FAT12 format to cache data from the USB drive. It can search up to 720KB of files in the root directory or across 999 folders, supporting long file names and 4-level directories. Jumpers allow setting for different machines, and it supports 100 disk image files. The front panel features an 8-segment display, a green LED, and a USB port. Buttons transfer data between built-in memory and the USB drive, and holding both buttons on power-up displays the firmware version. Error codes include E0 for missing files and E16 for memory faults. The unit measures 122 x 102 x 25mm, weighs 98g, and comes in a gray ABS case.
