Looking to buy French Computer Keyboards?
Whether your fingers are flowing across it as you type up a report, or your hands are hammering away at a spot of French homework, this essential accessory controls much of what we do with our PCs. It's easy to take your computer keyboards for granted, especially those with foreign language features, but a high-quality model from OnBuy's extensive selection could dramatically improve your reading and writing experiences combined.
What's the difference between English and French keyboards?
This is actually a really common question, and one that many have found themselves asking in the world of PC tech. Based on the English QWERTY format, the French AZERTY layout was adapted mainly to allow the use of characters with accents. In addition to switching out the QW in favour of AZ, it features a few other differences, including variations in how punctuation is organised, and the appendage of a button, ALT GR in lieu of the FN key.
Though some believe that French keyboards have no use in the modern world of multifunctional, bi-lingual peripherals, it is generally accepted that the AZERTY standard is very user-friendly and accessible, certainly worth investing in if French writing is a necessity.
What are the advantages of using a computer keyboard?
Keyboards have been one of the most common methods of writing for decades, and have been around for much longer than PCs and monitors themselves. First used on typewrites in the 1850s, they have gone through several design changes over the years, and remain one of the most efficient ways to type longer pieces of work. Despite the growth of technologies in recent times, including laptops, touch screens, and voice recognition, keyboards remain a standard input device due to their speed and unmatched accuracy.
If you already have a keyboard, or price is a major concern, why not purchase a set of French typeface stickers instead? Simply affix these to your current device and start typing... it'll change and upgrade your writing game forever.
