Our Compost Activator / Maker is made from natural and organic materials. It greatly improves the quality and readiness of your home produced compost. High in nitrogen which triggers the composting process, compost activator is most commonly used in ‘cool composting' methods. The process is sped up by Compost Activator and keeps soil at a neutral ph.

Compost makers provide food to promote bacterial growth, which in turn encourages the temperature in the compost heap to rise. This kills off weed seeds and intensifies the conversion of garden and kitchen waste into a rich compost, ideal for enriching garden soil.

Application Rate :
We recommend an approximate application rate of 135 grams of Compost Activator per square meter of your compost material.  The best method is to calculate how much material you have in the compost bin or heap, in volume. Estimate the area in square meters this volume of compost will cover. The resulting figure multiplied by 135 will be the application amount of Compost Activator in grams. 

How to Use :
Add the appropriate amount to your bin or heap of compost material. Stir through to ensure even dispersion. Regularly aerating the compost heap through turning will speed up the process and improve the quality of your compost.  

When to Use :
Compost Activator can be used all year round, whenever it is required to speed up breakdown.
