This 18L Double Bokashi Composter Kit includes two 18 litre Bokashi bins, 2 kg of Bokashi bran, two taps, two drainage trays and a Bokashi scoop so you can begin composting immediately. Designed for indoor use, this set allows one bin to be filled while the other ferments, giving you continuous recycling of kitchen waste with minimal odour.

What Is Bokashi Composting?

Bokashi composting is an anaerobic fermentation process using bran activated with beneficial microorganisms to ferment food waste in an airtight container. This method allows cooked and uncooked food to be processed quickly and with minimal smell, making it ideal for indoor kitchen use.

How To Use

• Add cooked or uncooked food scraps to the bucket.
• Sprinkle Bokashi bran over each layer of food waste.
• Press down firmly to remove air pockets.
• Keep the lid tightly sealed at all times.
• Drain liquid every few days using the taps.
• Once full, leave sealed for 2 to 3 weeks to complete fermentation.

Installation and Setup

• Fit the taps securely into the base of each bucket.
• Insert the inner drainage trays.
• Add a base layer of Bokashi bran and begin composting.
• No plumbing or electricity required.

Liquid Feed

Drain liquid regularly and dilute before use. For plants use 1 teaspoon per 5 litres of water. For trees and shrubs use 2 teaspoons per 5 litres of water. Apply to soil and not directly to foliage.
