Apple Sawfly Traps Pack of 5

Apple Sawfly Traps Pack of 5 Description

The apple sawfly traps are an effective way of monitoring sawfly activity. By monitoring how many adult sawflys are trapped you will be able to accurately determine the pest population and the best time to apply pest control applications.

The Gardening Naturally apple sawfly trap is the ideal way to protect your apples and plums from Sawfly.

Double sided sticky traps.

Sawfly are 4-5 mm long with the head and thorax being blackish brown in colour.

It is important to protect apple and plums from the sawfly as they lay eggs at the base of the flowers which after petal fall, hatch and the larvae bore into the core of the fruitlets.

This feeding damage causes the affected fruit to drop in early summer.

The sawfly traps are simple to use and effective, they should be in place from early April until June.

Simple to install just remove the protective cover paper from the traps and suspend them allowing 1 trap per tree.

The trap will stay sticky and last for several months.

Please note that if more than half the surface gets covered with Sawfly and dust it is recommended that they should be replaced to remain effective.

Size: Each trap is H22cm x W10cm.
