Application & Usage

1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 - 7.6. If outside this range please use our pH Plus or pH Minus products to adjust for the best results.
2. Maintain free chlorine residuals: spas 3 - 5 mg/L (ppm); swimming pools 1 - 3 mg/L (ppm). For freshly filled spas, apply an initial shock/start-up dose of chlorine: 50 mg/L (ppm) for 1 hour or 20 mg/L (ppm) for 2 hours.
3. This product may be applied directly to pools or spas where water temperatures exceed 20C. If below this temperature or if unsure, pre-dissolve in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10 g of product per 0.2 gallons (1 L) of water. Stir well to ensure full dissolution, then add the resulting solution to the pool or spa while the pumps are running.
4. Repeat dose application if necessary to achieve the required chlorine levels.
5. Periodically (e.g., weekly or after heavy spa use) shock dose your spa to eliminate excess contamination.

Dose Rates

• Medium hot tub (1,000 L / 220 gallons): 2 g to raise chlorine by 1 mg/L (ppm); 6 g to raise by 3 mg/L (ppm)
• Large hot tub (1,500 L / 330 gallons): 3 g to raise by 1 mg/L (ppm); 9 g to raise by 3 mg/L (ppm)
• Small pool (40,000 L): 80 g to raise by 1 mg/L (ppm); 240 g to raise by 3 mg/L (ppm)
• Medium pool (60,000 L): 120 g to raise by 1 mg/L (ppm); 360 g to raise by 3 mg/L (ppm)
• Large pool (80,000 L): 160 g to raise by 1 mg/L (ppm); 480 g to raise by 3 mg/L (ppm)
