For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 MHz or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System, a sensor relearn procedure must be performed after tire rotation, remote lock receiver module replacement, or tire pressure sensor replacement. This relearning process can be completed with the EL-50448 special tool. It also applies to 2014 GM models. On 2012 and later models, tire pressure sensors can only be read using designated diagnostic tools. Before the Tire Pressure Monitoring System can operate normally, the body control module records the ID information of each tire position, and after replacing the tire or wheel speed sensor, the sensor reading process should be performed using the method below.

Specific method: Step 1, enter tilt mode and put the shift lever in the required position. After the learning process is completed, the turn signal light will stay on for 3 seconds and the horn will beep twice. For vehicles equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, after replacing the remote lock receiver module or replacing the tire pressure sensor, a sensor relearning procedure must be performed. This relearning procedure can be completed using the EL-50448 special tool. Battery is not included in the package.

Compatible vehicles: This tool is suitable for GM vehicles, including Chevrolet Colorado. It is known to apply to 2012 and 2013 GM cars and trucks, and it may also work on other makes and models. Before purchase, please confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle. For 2012 and earlier GM vehicles, a reset procedure may be available that does not require a reset tool, so this device may not be necessary for those models.

Usage and fitment notes: This TPMS relearn tool is intended for GM pickup trucks from 2007 onward, and it is also used for GM vehicles in the 2010 to 2013 range.
