Description

Essentiale Forte is a herbal medicine used in liver diseases.

The set consists of 4 packages of 50 pieces each.

Composition:

The active substance of the medicine is: soybean phospholipids containing (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline.

1 capsule contains 300 mg.

Excipients are: refined soybean oil, hydrogenated castor oil, hydrogenated glycerides of plant origin (Witepsol W 35), triglycerides of higher fatty acids (Witepsol S 55), ethanol, ethyl vanillin, p-methoxyacetophenone, alpha-tocopherol.

Dosage:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults and children over 12 years: 2 capsules 3 times a day.

The capsules should be taken with meals, without chewing (with a glass of water, for example).

Action:

Essentiale Forte contains essential phospholipids, which are glycerol esters of cholinephosphoric acid and unsaturated fatty acids; linoleic, linolenic and oleic. Due to the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the side chains, these phospholipids cannot be synthesized in the body.

The phospholipids contained in Essentiale Forte, after reaching the liver, are built into the membranes of liver cells. This results in the replenishment of existing losses resulting from the disease process and faster regeneration of damaged liver cells. Phospholipids are essential in the process of differentiation and proliferation of liver cells. They inhibit the fibrosis processes in the liver by reducing collagen production and increasing the activity of the enzyme that breaks it down - collagenase.

Phospholipids incorporated into liver cell membranes reduce the sensitivity of these cells to immune system factors that can damage them. Phospholipids are secreted into bile, where they reduce the cholesterol/phospholipid ratio and increase the solubility of cholesterol in it - thanks to the emulsifying properties of essential phospholipids, this is of great importance in the prevention of gallstones.

Phospholipids, in addition to bile acids, play an important role in the digestion of fats and the absorption of vitamins soluble in them. In addition, polyunsaturated fatty acids that are part of phospholipids reduce cholesterol concentration and normalize the level of lipoproteins in serum - demonstrating a beneficial anti-atherosclerotic effect. They also increase the transport of cholesterol from extrahepatic tissues to the liver and activate lipolytic enzymes. Polyunsaturated fatty acids improve blood flow in the vessels by reducing platelet adhesion and increasing the elasticity of red blood cells.

Warnings:

Due to the content of soybean oil, the medicine may cause severe allergic reactions. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to peanuts or soy

The medicine contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per 1 capsule
