Herb Thyme Winter (Organic) Description
Unwins Organic Thyme are an essential and versatile kitchen herb. Thyme is also great ornamental plant too.
This attractive evergreen shrub is low growing. Therefore its particularly useful for edging and rockeries, or in pots. It's pretty, pink flowers attract pollinators in spring.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth (10-15 C) and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost, or individually to small pots.
Advice
Pick leaves or sprigs often to encourage young new growth. A light annual trim with shears after flowering will neaten the bush. Do not trim too hard, as Thyme doesn't regrow from old wood. Can be used fresh or dried.
