Hycosan Shield Eye drops Description
Evaporative dry eyes are caused by an unstable or deficient lipid layer of the tear film (the top outer most layer) that affects almost 90% of dry eye patients. Despite this, only a small proportion of products address lipid layer issues.
Hycosan Shield offers the unique lipid layer replacement benefits of perfluorohexyloctane. This allows Hycosan Shield to replace the function of the lipid layer, forming an outer shield over the surface of the tear film, reducing evaporation of the watery layer.

Bought these eye drops as a last resort to try and treat my severe dry eye syndrome and my blepharitis. I must say I was sceptical when I saw the size of the bottle that the drops were in as it was extremely small compared to other drops that I'd tried in the past but a little seems to go a long way. Once getting to grips with the delivery system I found these easy to use and literally the only drops I've tried that actually work, all in all a brilliant if rather expensive product.
Very pleased with my order, came quickly and was really reasonably priced, Will definitely purchase from this Company again. Much cheaper than buying from Boots!!!
These drops were great for my very dry eyes and the delivery was first class, a day early and free of charge. This company is first class !!

I have to use these eye drops and they work
I have used this product before, and it works well. I use it everyday and I haven't had any adverse effects
These eyedrops work. Hands down. Yes it's a small bottle, smaller than the usual bottle of eyedrops on the market but as it is cheaper on here than anywhere else I looked & does the job, I can't complain. I wear contact lenses & it states on the enclosed leaflet that there isn't enough data to confirm you can use it with contact lenses, which I interpreted as not to use "whilst wearing" lenses. So I use it as soon as I wake up & put in my contact lenses in an hour or 2 later & there have been no issues. It's a thinner consistency than other eyedrops so read the leaflet & squeeze very gently once the bottle is upside-down. Some still escapes out the eye but if you keep your eyes closed for a few seconds, you'll save most of it. This review is detailed as I was sceptical & have finally found drops that work even better than Hycosan Extra so hoping the essay will instill confidence.
These drops have provided some relief to my dry eyes. I found them a bit difficult to use, as getting the drop into lower lid quite often missed and the product just spilled over onto my cheek, which was a waste.
I suffer from dry eyes and this seems to be the best product for my eyes so far it really helps
Recommended by my optician but I found it a bit pricey so shopped around. Great relief for dry eyes , very soothing.
There's no doubt that this is a product that works better than most but at such a high cost for only 3mls I'm not sure I would purchase very often.

This product, new on the market, was recommended to me by my optician. Unlike other similar products it's not water based. Feels amazing as soon as it's dropped on. Dry eye grittiness almost instantly disappears. I'd definitely recommend.
I’m happy with the product but they are very expensive and only 3ml in the bottle which can be used up to 4 times a day so do t last very long.
