Ibuprom® Effect 50 mg/g, gel, 100 g - Application:
Ibuprom® Effect gel, applied topically to the skin, relieves muscle pain and pain associated with degenerative diseases of the peripheral joints and spine. It can also be used to treat post-accident or post-traumatic changes associated with sports (e.g., contusions, sprains), inflammatory changes in periarticular tissues, and to treat painful shoulder stiffness and low back pain.

The gel should be rubbed into the skin at the site of pain and left to absorb.

Indications:
Local treatment of muscle pain.
Treatment of pain associated with degenerative joint disease, rheumatic diseases of the peripheral joints and spine.
Treatment of inflammatory changes in periarticular tissues (e.g., bursae, tendons, tendon sheaths, ligaments, and joint capsules).
Treatment of painful shoulder stiffness, low back pain, and post-traumatic changes associated with sports or accidents (e.g., contusions, sprains).

Dosage
: Always use Ibuprom® Effect exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

The medication is applied topically to the skin. Typically, a 4-10 cm strip of gel (2-5 g of gel, equivalent to 100 mg to 250 mg of ibuprofen) is applied 3-4 times daily, unless otherwise directed by a doctor. If necessary, the medication can be applied more frequently, but not more often than every 4 hours, remembering not to exceed a daily dose of 12 g of gel (600 mg of ibuprofen).

The duration of treatment is determined by your doctor. If symptoms persist or worsen after 10 days of treatment, consult your doctor. Do not use the medication under an occlusive dressing. Iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy) increases the absorption of active substances through the skin. Ibuprom Sport gel is applied under the cathode (negative field). The usual intensity is 0.1 to 0.5 mA per 5 cm² of electrode surface, and the treatment duration is a maximum of 15 minutes.
