Ibuvit D3 Kids 15000 IU/ml, 10ml drops

Ibuvit D3 Kids 15,000 IU/ml is a medicine, not a dietary supplement, which contains the active substance - cholecalciferol at a dose of 15,000 IU per 1 ml. The oral solution in a convenient form of drops can be used to prevent vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency, e.g. rickets, as well as to prevent vitamin D deficiency in women planning a pregnancy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Prophylactic intake of vitamin D is important during months of insufficient exposure to sunlight, from October to April, or throughout the year if effective skin synthesis of vitamin D is not ensured in the summer months.

In Poland, sufficient exposure to sunlight is only possible in the period from May to September, provided that you stay in the sun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with your forearms and lower legs uncovered, without using creams with UV filters, for at least:

• 15-30 minutes for children aged 4-10,
• 30-45 minutes for adolescents and adults.

In newborns, infants and children up to 4 years of age, due to age-related sun exposure restrictions, it is recommended to take vitamin D all year round*.

Vitamin D3 is found in some foods and is also produced in the body when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium from the intestines and reduces its excretion by the kidneys, which helps build bones, maintain proper muscle tone, nervous stimulation and blood clotting. Vitamin D3 deficiency is the cause of, among others, rickets (disturbed bone mineralization in children). Vitamin D3 also plays an essential role in the absorption of phosphates from the intestines, the transport of mineral salts and participates in the proper functioning of the immune system.

Ibuvit D3 Kids 15000 IU/ml drops can be administered to prevent vitamin D deficiency in infants from birth, older children and adults, including pregnant women. Packaging with a dosing pump facilitates precise dosing depending on the age group.

Ibuvit D3 Kids 15000 IU/ml is used:

• in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency (e.g. rickets),
• in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning a pregnancy, pregnant and breastfeeding.
