Jarrow MK-7 is a dietary supplement with a high dosage of all-trans vitamin K2, to support your health based on the newest nutritional and physiological knowledge. Every softgel Jarrow MK-7 contains 90 mcg vitamin K2, also called menaquinone-7. Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin, which can only be optimal absorbed in addition to fat, for example oil.

The K2 vitamins include the menaquinones MK-7, MK-8 and MK-9 and are present in some fermented foods, most notably Natto. Natto is a traditional Japanese fermented soybean food, which is produced by growing the MK-7 generating bacterium Bacillus subtilis natto on the surface of cooked soybean. The produced highly concentrated MK-7 oil is 99% pure and doesn't contain any residues of bacteria. This oil is included into olive oil and pressed into the softgel capsule. The combination of the two nutrients leads to an increased bioavailability of vitamin K.

Vitamin K2 is a particularly active form of vitamin K, which has a 10-times higher absorption rate than vitamin K1, which can be found in spinach and green vegetables.
