LevoDril syrup for dry cough, 120 ml

LevoDril is a syrup-form medicine indicated for the symptomatic treatment of non-productive cough, i.e. dry cough. The medicinal product can be used in adults and children from 2 years of age.

The active substance of LevoDril ®  Polpharmex syrup is levodropropizine. The substance has an antitussive effect and relieves bronchospasm. Available data indicate that the drug effectively suppresses cough of various origins, including cough in the course of lung cancer, cough associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections, or whooping cough.

LevoDril ® Levodropropizine syrup reduces the frequency and intensity of coughing, inhibits the cough reflex, and facilitates breathing, bringing relief from dry, persistent cough. The addition of orange flavor makes it easier to use the drug in the youngest. A measuring cup is included with the syrup bottle, allowing you to measure the required doses, including 3, 5 and 10 ml.

Symptomatic treatment of dry (non-productive) cough.

Antitussive.

• Children aged 2 years and over:
  • body weight: 10-20 kg:  3 ml of syrup 3 times a day,
  • body weight:  20-30 kg:  5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.
• Adults:  10 ml of syrup up to 3 times a day.
• LevoDril ®  should be taken orally, 3 times a day at least 6 hours apart.

Treatment should be continued until the cough disappears or as directed by the doctor. In any case, if the cough does not subside after 7 days of treatment, the drug should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. It should be remembered that cough is a symptom of a disease and the disease that causes it should be recognized and then treated.

• Allergy to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.
• Abundant bronchial secretions and dysfunction of the cilia of the bronchial epithelium (Kartagener syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia).
• Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
• Do not give to children under 2 years of age.
