Mauritius Massalè Curry Spice Mix Blend 31g Resealable Packet Description
Mauritius Massale, Mauritus Masala or Massale Spices, is a mild to medium curry powder with peppery notes.
Containing coriander, cumin, cardamom and cinnamon, the Mauritius spice blend is highly versatile and creates a slow-building heat!
Originating from the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius, Massale is influenced by French, Indian and Chinese cuisines.
The Massale spice blend reflects the cultural diversity or Mauritius and has become an integral part of the country's gastronomy, representing the fusion of flavours that define the cuisine here.
Typically the base of a Mauritian curry (a massale), which is called Masala Cari or Masala Paste, consists of garlic, onion, ginger and spices.
Mauritius Massale works well with chicken, beef, pork, lamb, vegetables and seafood.
