Milliput - Black

OnBuy.Com really good value and customer service kept me informed on delivery and deliverd on time they have a really extensive range of goods well worth a look at there web site.

I really like Milliput black, it comes in two strips, one green, the other is black, you knead an equal sized of piece them together until the colour turns black. Once this is done you've an hour or two (depending on temperature) to use the milliput, I use it for repairs on antiques. When I've filled in any gaps with it I sand it down the following day and paint it up.
Always works brilliantly well, and its so hard and strong that it's often the toughest bit on the piece I'm repairing!

Product performed exactly as stated on the packaging. Used it before but for this job it had dried out and was considered a risk. Despite concerns that it would not adhere to a vintage bakelite lamp holder, the result was better than expected. When allowed to fully cure it enabled me to shape/ sand and polish it (using burnishing compound) the end result was ideal. After finishing, the colour was more of a dark grey than black but this did not detract from the desired effect.

Very useful product. Easy to mix but better to wear gloves when mixing, though the product does wash off ok with detergent and a bit of a scrub.
