Mucopect Kids syrup for children, 200 ml

Mucopect Kids 50 mg/ ml is a medicine in the form of amber-colored syrup with a sweet, gooseberry flavor, which can be administered to children from 6 years of age.

The active ingredient in the drug is carbocisteine, a substance from the group of "mucolytics" used in respiratory diseases associated with excessive bronchial mucus secretion. The active ingredient in the syrup reduces the viscosity of mucus and facilitates expectoration during coughing.

Mucopect Kids syrup is used in the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases associated with excessive production of thick and sticky secretions.

1 ml of syrup contains:

• active substance: 50 mg carbocisteine,
• excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), caramel (E 150d), sucrose, gooseberry flavour "Aroma grosella 63 2334" [propylene glycol, ethyl formate, isopentyl acetate, 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)butan-2-one, 3-methylbutan-1-ol, Barosma betulina extract, acetic acid, 4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-1-ene-1-yl)-but-3-ene-2-one], sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Reduces the viscosity of mucus and facilitates its removal from the respiratory tract during coughing.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

• Children aged 6 to 12 years:  5 ml of syrup three times a day.
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:  15 ml of syrup three times a day.
• Once symptoms have improved, the dose should be reduced to 10 ml of syrup three times a day.
• Do not take the medicine before bedtime.
• The last dose should be administered no later than 4 hours before bedtime.
• The medicine should not be used for more than 4 to 5 days without a doctor's recommendation.
