The AD9959 consists of four direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS) cores, each of which can provide independent frequency, phase, and amplitude control (i.e. adjustable). Each channel is equipped with an independent high-speed 10 bit DAC, a dedicated 32-bit frequency control word, a 14 bit phase offset, and a 10 bit output proportional multiplier. Can be used to correct imbalances between signals caused by analog processing such as filtering, amplification, or PCB layout mismatches. AD9959 can perform linear frequency, amplitude, or phase scanning suitable for applications such as and instrumentation.
